It covers structured cabling, FO cabling technology, cabling standards, data network fundamentals, Ethernet, Firewire, WiFi networks, access technologies to the home, applications, communications infrastructure design, cabling installating and testing, multi-dwelling units, and future applications. It also covers topics like VoIP, audio/video distribution, and home automation. The text is written in a semi-technical, easy to follow format with lots of diagrams. There are also several large reference sections in the back including a large Glossary It should contain everything you need to know about residential data networks to pass all CEDIA Installer exams and HTI+ exams. We used this book as a technical reference for our Residential Networks course and found it to be a big help. We think you will too!
